David Backlund

David is the filmmaker behind Nordvér Films. He shoots, edits, and delivers every wedding film himself. His background is in documentary and narrative filmmaking, and he brings that sensibility to weddings: real moments, natural light, honest storytelling. He works with handheld cameras, moving through the day quietly, rarely asking anyone to do anything differently. The result is footage that feels true to the day rather than a performance for the camera.

David is calm, easy to be around, and good at reading a room. He knows when to step closer and when to stay back. He coordinates with photographers, planners, and venue staff without needing to be the centre of attention. Couples often say they forgot he was filming, which is the best compliment a wedding videographer can get.

Karin Lundin

Karin is a wedding photographer based in Stockholm and co-founder of Nordvér Films. She has been photographing weddings for over a decade, working with luxury and editorial clients across Europe. When a couple books both photo and film, Karin and David work as a team. They already know how to move around each other, share the same aesthetic sensibility, and deliver a cohesive visual story of the day.

Karin’s photography is documentary and cinematic, with a focus on natural light, genuine emotion, and the small details that make each wedding unique. Her work has taken her from Stockholm’s grand hotels to cliffside villas on the Amalfi Coast.

Why Nordvér

Nordvér means “northern weather” in Old Norse. It felt like the right name for a studio that grew out of Scandinavian light, landscape, and sensibility.

We are based in Stockholm but film weddings across Scandinavia and Europe. We work with a small number of couples each year so we can give every wedding the time and attention it deserves.

Our Approach

We do not direct. We do not stage moments. We do not ask you to walk towards us slowly or repeat your first look. What we do is pay attention. We notice the quiet things: a hand on a shoulder, a look across the room, the five seconds before the music starts.

Every film is edited personally by David. We do not outsource post-production. The person who was in the room with you is the same person shaping the story afterward.
