Skåne in the south is known for its rolling farmland, grand estates, and some of the country’s most beautiful castle venues.

Further north, Dalarna and the Swedish countryside offer traditional wooden churches, wildflower meadows, and a pace of life that feels worlds away from the city. For couples who want something truly remote, Lapland and the northern coast provide midnight sun in summer and dramatic Arctic landscapes in winter.

Venues We Have Filmed At

Over the years, we have filmed at venues across Sweden. In the Stockholm area, our favourites include Häringe Slott, Grand Hôtel, and Högberga Gård. On the west coast, Thorskogs Slott near Trollhättan and Norrvikens Trädgårdar in Båstad offer stunning backdrops. In Skåne, estates like Jordberga combine lavender fields, converted barns, and a landscape that feels almost Mediterranean in summer.

In Dalsland, Baldersnäs Herrgård sits on a peninsula surrounded by water and parkland, about three hours from Stockholm. Around Lake Mälaren, Krusenberg Herrgård and Åsgård in Mariefred both combine historic architecture with lakeside settings.

The Swedish Light

What makes Sweden exceptional for wedding films is the light. During midsummer, the sun sits low on the horizon for hours, creating a golden glow that cinematographers dream about. Even at 10 PM in July, the light is soft and warm. This means we can film outdoors well into the evening without any artificial lighting, capturing toasts, speeches, and first dances in natural golden hour light that lasts all night.

Winter weddings have a different beauty. Short days mean candlelit ceremonies, warm indoor lighting, and the contrast of snow-covered landscapes against cozy interiors. Both seasons produce remarkable footage.

How We Work

For weddings outside Stockholm, David typically arrives the day before to scout the venue and understand the light. On the wedding day, he works from getting ready through to the last dance, filming quietly alongside the photographer. We use handheld cameras and natural light, moving through the day without interrupting.

The final delivery includes a cinematic highlight film of 5 to 8 minutes, delivered within 12 weeks. We also offer full ceremony and speech edits as additions.
